What is the purpose of having an FSSAI license?

  • The FSSAI’s goal was to prioritize internal autonomy over external law enforcement. FSSAI science specialists provide workshops on a regular basis to educate people in the food sector about the Food Safety Act and why FSSAI licensing is essential.
  • The Agency’s mission is to improve public understanding of the law’s objectives. The requirements of this statute keep hassles and harassment to a bare minimum in the purchase of an FSSAI license. State governments are also helping to raise public awareness.

Obtaining an FSSAI License

  • Many vendors and dealers are afraid to register for FSSAI certification, yet they have a little alternative if they want to stay in business. An FSSAI license is required for all street vendors and food company operators, whether directly or indirectly. You must apply for the license by August 4th, 2018.
  • The main reason for merchants’ bad encounters with inspectors was their reluctance to obtain FSSAI permits. Many traders have chosen to avoid applying for an FSSAI license.

Food products for sale, distribution, and other reasons are thus deemed fit for consumption by the individual in question.
