Diablo II: Resurrected is an action role-playing video game that is a remastered version of the classic action RPG Diablo II. It is a trip to a dark fantasy world where you build your character and compete with the real world online. Different Modes:
Diablo II has mainly two game modes which are Non-Ladder Season and Ladder Season.
You might be wondering, what is a ladder? Well, if you have opted for the ladder version then this mode will provide with you a specific version of the game. Here everyone participating is ranked based on their character and achievements.
D2R Ladder has slightly different rules than the other mode so if you are looking to experience the game in a better way then ladder season is the mode for you.
On the other hand, the non-ladder season provides basic features and is more towards playing the game offline. The character here never resets, you just have to keep working on the same player season after season and obviously, no ranking system is included here.

If you have opted for the ladder season, then you surely have entered the real world of the Diablo II game, as almost 70-80% of the players play this mode. Here the player can choose the character they want from various options like Amazon, Assassin, Necromancer, etc.
Then players can build their selected character by increasing their levels, unlocking skills (each player has 30 unique skills), and unique items.
After the four months are over, the player’s ladder character will be converted into a non-ladder character, and now the player will be allowed to use the Runes and ladder items that they collected in ladder season to use in non-ladder gameplay.
From the next season, again the player will start from scratch and build their favorite character.
